![]() ![]() I teach Matrix, MatrixGold, Rhino, and 3Design. ![]() Which seemed pretty stupid and a huge waste of money, considering how expensive Matrix is and that the MatrixGold equivalent is bound to be. Bad option number two was to go ahead and buy Matrix9 and then ‘in a year or two’ just buy the new MatrixGold whatchamacallit. I felt like I would be limiting my work flow since I was used to the tools in Matrix. This seemed like a pretty stupid thing to do. The guy I spoke to said the next version of MatrixGold would be a true peer to Matrix, but he said that someone with my experience is not the person that MatrixGold Essentials is aimed toward. I could buy MatrixGold Essentials, which is pitched as an introductory CAD program and not yet a true Matrix equivalent, and then “in a year or two when the next (as of yet unnamed) version comes out” upgrade. A little extract: My major concern was that I seemed to have 2 bad options.
